The Women Veterans Support Group & Social Hour April Series is a recurring collection of peer-led gatherings designed to provide women veterans with regular opportunities for connection, mutual support, and shared celebration of their unique military service experiences. Taking place throughout April 2026 on multiple dates including April 5, April 6, and additional scheduled dates, these intimate veterans community events are offered in both virtual and in-person formats to maximize accessibility for women veterans regardless of their location or circumstances.
Women veterans represent one of the most rapidly growing segments of the veteran population, yet they continue to face significant challenges in accessing peer support networks that genuinely understand the nuances of female military service. The Women Veterans Support Group & Social Hour series was created specifically to fill this gap, providing consistent, reliable spaces where women who have served can gather without explanation or justification, simply as warriors among warriors.
Each session in the April series follows a flexible structure that balances intentional programming with organic social connection. Facilitated discussion topics rotate through relevant themes including navigating VA healthcare as a woman veteran, MST (Military Sexual Trauma) resources and support, career and educational transitions, motherhood and military service, financial wellness for women veterans, and celebrating the often-invisible contributions of women in the military. Alongside these structured discussions, ample time is preserved for the informal conversation and genuine fellowship that participants consistently identify as the most valuable aspect of each gathering.
The social hour component of each session is deliberately casual and welcoming, featuring virtual coffee chats or in-person refreshments, icebreaker activities for new attendees, and the warm, inclusive atmosphere that has made this series beloved by participants across the country. Many attendees report that the relationships formed at these gatherings have become among the most meaningful in their post-service lives.
The series is open to all women who have served in any capacity in the U.S. Armed Forces, including National Guard and Reserve members. No minimum service requirement or discharge characterization creates barriers to participation. Allies and military family members are sometimes welcomed at specific sessions — check individual event listings for details.
All events in the Women Veterans Support Group & Social Hour April Series are free to attend. Virtual sessions are accessible via video conference link sent upon registration. In-person locations vary — check the veteran.events calendar for your nearest gathering. This hero community initiative represents the strength, resilience, and sisterhood of women who answered the call to serve America.
