Organized by EANGUS Women's Affairs in partnership with Women Veteran Warriors, this carefully curated outdoor experience combines the therapeutic benefits of fishing, kayaking, and beach relaxation into a comprehensive wellness day tailored specifically for women veterans' needs. Research consistently shows that outdoor activities and peer connection are powerful tools for addressing the unique mental health and wellness challenges faced by women veterans, making events like this invaluable to the hero community.
Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy guided kayaking through Sanibel's pristine coastal waterways, fishing excursions with experienced guides, and relaxed beach time for conversation and camaraderie. All skill levels are welcome — from seasoned anglers and experienced kayakers to complete beginners. Equipment, instruction, and all necessary safety gear will be provided for participants.
