FDIC International 2026 is the world's largest and most respected firefighter training conference and exposition — and it returns to Indianapolis, Indiana, April 20–25, 2026. Hosted at the Indiana Convention Center, this landmark event draws tens of thousands of fire service and EMS professionals from across the globe for six days of elite hands-on training, world-class education, and an enormous exhibit hall showcasing the latest firefighting technology and apparatus.
Whether you're a rookie firefighter or a seasoned chief officer, FDIC International offers something essential for every stage of your career. The program features hundreds of classroom sessions, workshops, and H.O.T. (Hands-On Training) evolutions — many of which are impossible to replicate at the station level. Topics span structural firefighting, wildland urban interface, technical rescue, EMS advancement, leadership development, mental health, and emerging technologies.
The exhibition floor is a must-see for any fire service professional. Hundreds of vendors display cutting-edge apparatus, gear, communications equipment, and protective technology. It's the best opportunity of the year to evaluate real equipment face-to-face with manufacturers and fellow practitioners.
Beyond the training, FDIC is a celebration of the fire service. The Opening Ceremony draws thousands into a sea of pride and tradition, honoring the dedication of firefighters who put their lives on the line every day. Networking events, evening socials, and award ceremonies round out a full week that feeds both your professional development and your soul.
