San Diego is a Navy and Marine Corps town, and on Veterans Day the whole waterfront turns out to say thanks. The San Diego Veterans Day Parade, organized by the USS Midway Museum, steps off along Harbor Drive in front of the County Administration Building on the morning of November 11.
The parade honors those who served in the past and those serving today. You will see veterans groups, active duty units, marching bands, color guards and vintage military vehicles, all with the bay and the Midway as the backdrop.
Parade entry applications for 2026 are open, and volunteers are always welcome, so veterans organizations and local groups can still get involved.
It is a free, family friendly morning and a short walk from downtown. Come early to grab a spot along the route, bring a flag, and make sure the veterans in your life know their city has not forgotten them.
