The City of Houston hosts its Houston Salutes American Heroes Veterans Day Celebration on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, with a ceremony at 10:00 AM followed by a parade through downtown at 11:30 AM.
The parade starts at Dallas and Bagby, heads east on Dallas, north on Louisiana, west on Walker, south on Smith and west on Lamar, finishing on Lamar at Bagby. Along the way you will see veterans from every branch and era, military units, color guards, marching bands and community groups.
Houston has one of the largest veteran populations in the country, and this is the city's big public thank you. The morning ceremony is a quieter moment to remember those who served and those who did not come home.
It is free and open to everyone. Bring the family, find a spot along the route, and cheer loud for the men and women who earned it.
