The Mother Lode Detachment 1080 of the Marine Corps League is celebrating the 251st birthday of the Marine Corps with a formal ball in Ione, right on November 10, the Corps' actual birthday.
The evening is all about honoring the service and sacrifice of Marines, past and present. Guests get access to the full formal ball program, a night of tradition, camaraderie and pride in the Corps that brings Marines of every generation into one room.
Tickets are $50 if you buy before October 31 and $60 after that, and free sponsor tickets are also listed on the ticket page.
If you are a Marine living in Amador County or the Sierra foothills, this is your night to put on the uniform or your best suit and celebrate with people who understand. Family members, friends and veterans of other branches are welcome too. Semper Fi.
