ILEETA is the yearly gathering for the people who train police officers. Firearms instructors, defensive tactics coaches, academy staff and supervisors come together for a full week in St. Louis to sharpen their own skills so they can pass them on to the officers they teach.
The 2027 conference offers more than 100 courses covering use of force, officer survival, firearms with live fire range time, instructor development and wellness. Panels take on the hard training questions agencies are facing right now, and the ILEETA Expo puts the latest gear and technology in front of trainers who actually use it.
There is time to connect too. The Emerson Hour gives members a chance to share personal stories of challenge and resilience, and the Tuesday Night Social is a relaxed way to meet trainers from across the country.
Good training saves lives on the street. If you are responsible for preparing officers, this week is a chance to learn from peers, bring new ideas home and build a network you can call on all year.
