Midwest Honor Flight is turning ten, and it is celebrating with a gala called Honoring the Past. Flying into the Future. The evening takes place on Saturday, March 13, 2027, in downtown Sioux Falls.
For a decade this group has flown veterans from the region to Washington, D.C., at no cost to them, so they can visit the memorials built in their honor. Many of those veterans say the trip was the welcome home they never got.
The night includes a three course dinner, a two hour open bar, a speaker, a comedian and live music. Individual tickets are $195 and tables of ten are $1,850, with sponsor packages that include perks such as spots on a commemorative 2027 anniversary flight.
All proceeds go to the mission. If you have ever stood in an airport and clapped for an Honor Flight coming home, this is your chance to help send the next one.
