The Military & First Responder Appreciation Night at Nationals Park on July 4, 2026, is one of the most patriotic and exciting evenings in Washington D.C.'s veteran and first responder community calendar. This special Independence Day game honors the active military, veterans, law enforcement, firefighters, EMS professionals, and their families who protect and defend the nation every single day.
The Washington Nationals' Fourth of July Military Appreciation Night brings together the nation's capital — home to one of the largest concentrations of military and veteran communities in America — for an evening that combines America's pastime with America's deepest values. Pre-game ceremonies include military color guard presentations, a national anthem performed by military vocalists, tributes to recently deployed and returned units, and recognition of veteran and first responder honorees from each branch and service.
Specially discounted tickets are available for active military, veterans, first responders, and their families, ensuring that the appreciation shown on the field is matched by accessible participation in the stands. The July 4th fireworks spectacular following the game at Nationals Park is among the most spectacular in the city — providing a stunning patriotic conclusion to a meaningful evening.
Nationals Park's location near the Capitol, the National Mall, and the monuments of American democracy provides an extraordinarily powerful backdrop for this celebration. Whether you're a longtime baseball fan or simply a patriot looking for a meaningful way to spend Independence Day surrounded by your community of heroes, this event delivers an unforgettable experience.
Discount ticket codes for military and first responders are available through the Washington Nationals' official website. Arrive early for pre-game ceremonies and secure your spot for the fireworks finale.
