The Warrior-Scholar Project Academic Boot Camp at the University of Notre Dame in July 2026 is an intensive, free, week-long academic preparation program designed exclusively for veterans and active duty service members who are preparing to enter or return to college. The Warrior-Scholar Project (WSP) was founded on a simple but powerful belief: the same discipline, resilience, and team-oriented mindset that makes a great service member also makes a great scholar — and with the right preparation and support, every veteran has what it takes to succeed in higher education. The Notre Dame Academic Boot Camp immerses participants in college-level academic coursework in writing, critical thinking, reading comprehension, and quantitative reasoning, led by professors and instructors who understand and deeply respect the military experience. Small group instruction, peer learning teams, and one-on-one mentorship from veteran scholars who have already navigated the college transition successfully create an environment that is simultaneously rigorous and deeply supportive. Participants leave with stronger academic skills, a concrete plan for their college experience, a powerful network of veteran scholars and allies, and — perhaps most importantly — the absolute confidence that they belong on a college campus and that their best intellectual years lie ahead.
