The Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs partners with local organizations to deliver a full-day Veterans Stand Down event in Spokane — a one-stop shop providing essential services to homeless and at-risk veterans. Services include VA benefits counseling, healthcare screenings, dental care, legal assistance, clothing distribution, employment services, housing referrals, substance abuse resources, and mental health support. The Stand Down model is proven to reconnect veterans with the services they've earned and help restore stability and dignity. All veterans are welcome regardless of discharge status. Volunteers, donors, and service providers are encouraged to participate.
